Focus groups/ Audience Feedback

Question 6, the penultimate question, consists of an open ended
question and also a closed question, it all depends on the
audiences choice of feedback.

Focus groups/ Audience Feedback

Question 4 is also left open ended for the same reasons, this
way I would get more feedback.

Most questions are left open-ended so I could receive through
feedback.

Focus groups/ Audience Feedback

The template I decided to use for my survey was a template called 'Website feedback' as it looked sophisticated.

Here I added my first question and I left it open ended as I
 wanted thorough feedback.

I left question 2 as a non open ended question as not much
feedback was not needed, just a number rating.
Question 3 is an open ended question as I wanted
thorough feedback.

Research and Planning - Print

This is the final version of the 'Film Review', it follows most conventions of film reviews and I have tried to imitate the "Unstoppable" film review as much as possible as I believed that review was a very conventional film review.

Research and Planning - Print

We started off the lesson by doing a checklist of what we've done and what we need to do. We now have to complete "task 10" which is doing final audience research feedback. We have been told to design the survey today.

We were told to complete the survey on 'Survey Monkey' or other similar survey sites. The questions should be open ended questions so we get as much feedback as possible and also because it will be detailed. The survey should include strengths and weaknesses, sound, mise-en-scene, camera and eiting

Research and Planning - Print

I had to add the logo, page number and issue date on the film review and then the film review would be complete. This is what I had set out to do this lesson and did so successfully by the end of the lesson.

Research and Planning - Print

I had created the logo for the film review and also named my magazine last lesson. This lesson I had set out to add the finishing touches to my film review. But there were a few obstacles in my way. I still hadn't come up with a caption to put on my review, I was lost for idea's so I went to my peers for inspiration and in the end did come up with something.

Research and Planning - Print

Today I created a logo as most film reviews consisted of the magazine name on the review and also the logo. So therefore I created a logo on Fireworks, I tried many things and got some feedback from peers and also my teacher. They believed that I should do something simple and not get too complicated with the logo. In the end I followed thier feedbaack and stuck to what they said. I decided to call the magazine "The Film Scene." I believe this was a good name as it the title stated exactly what the magazine is about.

Research and Planning - Print

I have completed the hardest part of the journalism which I found very challenging. I still had bits and pieces of the film review to carry out. I had to to inlcude star ratings, pull quotes and directors and actors name. I tried out many different forms and in the end found that the 'minion pro' font looked best as it looked very sophisticated. Finding the star ratings took very long as the ones I found were all pixalted when it was placed in the review so I had to search for the perfect one. I took a still image from the film, I took the image which was suggested to me by my teacher and feedback.

Research and Planning - Print

Since I have finished the journalism for my film review I can carry on with producing my film review. In my case studies I looked at three reviews which could help me in creating my own review and these case studies really helped me form ideas and find out conventions of film reviews. One filme review which really helped me was the "Unstoppable" case study so I decided to to base my review on that. I used the same layout as the "Unstoppable" review.

This review really helped me in forming my main ideas and based my film review around this.
This is what I carried out today and as you can see from the above image, the layout is identical to each other.

Research and Planning - Print

Today I carried out the journalism for my film review. I was told to use exciting and conversational language by my teacher, I gathered most of my influence from the "Unstoppable" film review; I also used this film review as one of my ideas and it really influenced my writing.

Research and Planning - Print

We divided out the tasks between me and my partner, we came to a conclusion that I will carry out the film review and she will produce the film poster and we'd both do photogrpahy call sheet. Today I started my film review, I started off by adding borders and gutters so all the coulmns, pictures and text boxes are in line with each other and do not override each other.
